NSR on the Carrera Digital 132, that's a must

When upgrading to digital, we only use the Carrera Digital 132 decoder. For most models the cockpit needs to be replaced.

Up on request, we can also install lights. The lighting functions the same as the original Carrera lighting, including the brake light. Unless otherwise specified, we use xenon LEDs for modern cars and warm white LEDs for classic cars. If you require other versions, please indicate this in the comments field at the end of your order. The lights will be equipped with the same connectors as the original Carrera lighting. Additional headlights can be ordered separately, if feasible.

Since the NSR guide keel is very small, we recommend replacing it with a Scaleauto guide keel to ensure that all switches are reset correctly.

Lights for use on analoge tracks

For each analog car we offer also our high quality OVERDRIVE permanent lightkits. Normally we use for modern cars LEDs with xenon effect and for classic cars warm white LEDs.
Additional headlights can be ordered separately, if feasible.

Tuning NSR generell

  • Exchange cockpit
By replacing the original cockpit with a 2D photo inlet, weight can be saved and the center of gravity lowered without any major visual compromises.

  • Running in the motor
We run the motor in at low voltage for several hours without load. This allows the speed to be increased by up to 10%. The rule here is: the lower the quality of the motor (e.g., Fly Standard), the more effective the run-in process will be.

  • Running in the slotcar
The motor and transmission are slowly run in at low voltage. The axle is then cleaned, the transmission is greased, and the bearings are oiled.

  • Changing the guide

Since the NSR guide keel is very small, we recommend replacing it with a Scaleauto guide keel to ensure that all switches are reset correctly.

GT slotcars with anglewinder

  • Trued Ortmann tires
The rear axle gets perfectly fitting Ortmann tires, and the entire axle is then ground flat in the RSM. This is the minimum tuning to ensure the car is fun to drive.

  • Tuningset Expert
The GT slot cars with Anglewinder have massive torque, but can still be driven perfectly without a magnet. In this case, the car is fitted with trued Ortmann tires, the magnet is removed, and the chassis is weighted accordingly.

  • Tuningset Home
Since the engine is too powerful for most home tracks, it often makes sense to replace it with the Baby King with 17,000 rpm. The car also gets trued Ortmann tires.

  • Tuningset Power
If you want to go really fast, we swap the motor for a 25000 rpm SRP motor with plenty of torque. The car also gets trued Ortmann tires.

Tuning NSR Classic cars

  • Trued Ortmann tires
The rear axle gets perfectly fitting Ortmann tires, and the entire axle is then ground flat in the RSM. This is the minimum tuning to ensure the car is fun to drive.

  • Tuningset Expert
The Classic slot cars with sidewinder are extreme smooth to race, even without magnet. In this case, the car is fitted with trued Ortmann tires, the magnet is removed, and the chassis is weighted accordingly.

Tuning NSR Fiat

  • Trued Ortmann tires
The rear axle gets perfectly fitting Ortmann tires, and the entire axle is then ground flat in the RSM. This is the minimum tuning to ensure the car is fun to drive.

  • Tuningset Standard NSR Fiat
The Fiat is a wolf in sheep's clothing and always causes astonished faces among its passengers. The front wheels are already a bit worn and should be sanded. It's also getting sanded Ortmann tires on the rear axle.

  • Tuningset Power NSR Fiat
With a 25,000 rpm motor, the Fiat becomes a real Abarth. Apart from installing the faster engine, we perform all the tuning measures as with the Standard NSR Fiat set.
