Convert Sideways Slot Cars to Carrera Digital 132

For every digital conversion, we exclusively use the original Carrera Digital 132 decoder. On some Sideways models, the original cockpit must be replaced with a lightweight 2D cockpit insert to provide sufficient space for the decoder.

On request, we also equip your vehicle with a lighting system. All functions match the original Carrera Digital lighting, including brake lights. Depending on the model, we install xenon-style LEDs for modern GT and LMP cars or warm white LEDs for classic racing cars.

The lighting is installed using plug-in connectors, allowing it to be removed easily for future maintenance – just like the original Carrera system. Auxiliary driving lights can also be fitted where technically possible.

For each analog car we offer also our high quality OVERDRIVE permanent lightkits. Normally we use for modern cars LEDs with xenon effect and for classic cars warm white LEDs.
Additional headlights can be ordered separately, if feasible.

Sideways Slot Cars with flat motor

Sideways slot cars use the same components as Slot.it GT and LMP vehicles. Therefore, we offer the same tuning options for them as well.

  • Trued Ortmann tires
    The rear axle gets perfectly fitting Ortmann tires, and the entire axle is then ground flat in the RSM. This is the minimum tuning to ensure the car is fun to drive.

  • Tuningset Expert
    Sideways slot cars with a flat motor deliver excellent handling even without traction magnets. The car is fitted with trued Ortmann tyres, the magnet is removed and the chassis is carefully optimised for maximum performance.

     

  • Tuningset Power
    If maximum performance is required, we replace the original motor with a 25,000 rpm Slot.it flat motor. In addition, all upgrades included in the Expert Tuning Set are carried out. In this configuration, the traction magnet remains installed, and the chassis is further optimised only where necessary.
